Digital-Word was formed in 1997 to develop a database system called Fourth Estate to facilitate the exchange of confidential information between companies located on business parks and their local police.
From this secure platform, we have used our research and development facilities to develop unique, market-leading software products and services. A number of these applications were developed to satisfy specific client needs, or functions and were therefore one-time projects. However, the year 2000 brought the launch of Shapeshifter V1. Based on the secure Fourth Estate platform, Shapeshifter V1 was designed to provide its users with the ability to "self manage" their websites.
We are now positioned as a specialist software house providing bespoke business solutions and Fully Managed Services, along with a growing catalogue of world-class software products.
Our strategic aim is, through flexibility, creativity and service, to become the software house of choice for web-based business solutions.
